"My girlfriend and I had started thinking of buying a place together over the summer. We had decided to go to an open house one Sunday afternoon in Silver Spring, MD. That day, was like winning the lottery. We met one half of the best part of the home buying process, our agents! Ramtin, asked if we were working with an agent, we said no. He said well you just found yourself a great agent. He wasn’t kidding. From there, it only got better! What he hadn’t told us about yet was about his lucky gem, his wife, Shirley. I honestly believe they are the hardest working agents in the business. Not only do they work hard, they are polished, they are proactive, they know real estate like the back of their hands, they are patient, are great listeners, have a great sense of humor, AND last but not least, they genuinely care about their clients. We ended up passing on the Silver Spring home and decided to focus on an investment type property we could live in for a while, fix it up, rent it out, and then make our next move. This is when we found Ramtin’s better half, Shirley. Shirley is nothing less than amazing! (Trust me they aren’t paying me for this testimonial, she’s just that good!) When we thought of buying a less expensive place, I thought it might be difficult, because agents would make a smaller commission and would have less incentive to take it on. But not Shirley and Ramtin! They do it all, from small condos to million dollar property to investment commercial and apartment buildings. They are more about the long term relationship than the quick dollar.

After, a number of months of losing a number of condos to cash buyers and some unscrupulous unprofessional seller agents, we changed our focus and decided to buy a home we would want to live in for a number of years. We found our 30’s something dream house, on the lake! Buying a place, can be scary and intimidating. But not so much for us. Shirley, was there every step of the way. She was so patient! She answered all of our questions, negotiated for us, arranged for the home inspection, settlement, made countless follow ups, and was always there rooting for us in our corner of the ring.

After we recoup, from buying our 30’s something dream home, we will be employing Shirley and Ramtin’s expertise and finesse in buying and selling all of our future real estate. And just a further note about the Silver Spring property and what we witnessed. The Silver Spring home was a foreclosure that the bank listed with Ramtin and Shirley. Your average agent would have simply listed it and would wait for the day that someone wanted to buy it. Ramtin and Shirley were so proactive and on the ball, they not only did open house after open house, they organized for the house to be painted, the deck stained, and even organized for the low hanging tree’s branches to be trimmed. Was this a must? No. It just goes to show the extra mile (or many) that they will go through to make their clients happy.

"Grace Puzon and I never thought that we would be able to purchase a home. Working with Shirley we were able to far exceed our own expectations. Working with Shirley we were able to not only find the perfect home but close on the home in less than two months. The process had its ups and downs but Shirley was able to hold our hands through the whole thing. When we though about giving up she would call and brighten our day with new information. She went above and beyond what I would have expected of any real-estate agent. And now, even though we have already closed and our living in our home she has kept contact with us. "Nicholas and I have worked with Shirley since the summer of 2009 looking for a home. We searched high and low in almost every county in MD and DC that fit our search. We saw with Shirley and Ramtin at least 100 homes. Non of the homes quite fit the bill of what we were looking for. The community was important and the commute into DC was key. We weren't willing to budge on much of anything as first time home buyers do. Shirley worked with us day and night through one short sale and disappointment to the other. In the end we prevailed and found a home that had 92% of the items on our checklist and we were truly happy. Shirley was never impatient or inattentive she gave us all we needed and then some. This is Cathie, Mike Jeffries' Mom. Just wanted to thank you again for the list of roofers and masons. And, more importantly, I wanted to say thank you for all you did for Bev and Mike. You were so diligent, kind, and patient. I missed seeing you for weeks after they found their new home! It's awesome to watch them planning this next phase of their lives together. We're very happy to be part of all of this and to have them so closeby. Beverly is finishing up her masters, and they are aiming at June 12th to make the big move. In the meantime, I'm spending time over there with paintbrush and roller in hand. I'm sure that I don't work up to your high standards, Shirley! But I love being part of the process. "My name is Jess, and I'm proud to say that thanks to Shirley and Ramtin, I am now a first time home owner! Living as a single female in the DC Metro area and having less-than-perfect credit I'd had plenty of doubts about whether I would even be approved for a home loan. To complicate matters a bit more, I had a couple of dogs, one of which was a 70 pound puppy that desperately needed a yard so I was looking for a single family home.

When I first began making inquiries with finance companies, I was given a pre-approval for a loan that in this area would get me a small condo (if I were lucky). I began contacting one real estate agent after another and was dismayed to discover many lost much of their interest in helping me when they learned of the price range for my search. Some even required I have a finance group fax them a pre-approval letter before they'd show me any properties.

I began considering looking in the Baltimore area where the cost of living (not to mention price of housing) was much lower, agonizing whether or not I'd be able to bear the long commute each day.

Then in March I happened upon Shirley Ayers and Ramtin Zadeh's website when I was searching for properties one day. I sent an e-mail to them and Shirley wrote me back within a few hours offering to set up an appointment to go house hunting. She suggested I let her search for other homes in the area within the same price range so we'd be able to see a few properties in one afternoon. I met her and Ramtin that weekend and felt immediately at ease with them.

I was only one of their many clients, yet through these past few months they managed to make me feel like the only one in their schedules. My price range for my search wasn't very high, but you'd never know it from the way they always worked with me. Every presentation of new properties was professional and truly impressive. When I first met them I knew virtually nothing about the home buying process, but they changed all of that with their thorough knowledge of the industry and their willingness to share their expertise with me.

I almost gave up several times because I didn't think it would work out. But Shirley and Ramtin stuck by my side, always encouraging me and giving me other great ideas and alternatives to any situation. And their encouragement and support paid off. Not only did I end up in the home that was my first choice of all the ones I'd seen, but I got the property at a great price and could not possibly be any happier. And my dogs have a huge yard to play in every night. What could be better than that?

"My wife, my 2 1/2 month old son and I are forever grateful for what Ramtin and Shirley from Long and Foster did for us. We drove 2 days from Rochester, MN to Bethesda, MD with the idea that we had an apartment ready for us. However it turned out that the landlord at that time didn't have the apartment in the appropriate conditions for my wife, son and I to move in. We spent the next two days living in hotels and battling the first cold of our son. It was then when we met Ramtin and Shirley at an apartment complex building.
